His Heart Amidst Lights and Shadows
Satan Poem (Tanka)
Streaks of gold fluttered,
Your smile casts shadows away.
Lights begin to shine,
So his eyes can see colors.
His heart, bare, as you read it.

Liberty from Lust
Asmo Poem (Freeverse)
A glance in the mirror,
Revealed a timeless rose.
I’m very beautiful again today.
But at times I wonder,
Will my gorgeous self ever be enough?
Enough to elicit your bright smile,
Like the others do?
Lipgloss.
Blush and powder,
Let’s put them on today too.
Never forgetting to don
My loving smile for you.
What will make you happy today?
A touch, a kiss?
A few moments of bliss?
I can do so much more,
Sing songs of beating hearts,
Take you to places that make you blush,
I hope that today I’ll get to touch your hand,
Put it against my lips and with a wink,
Say words that come from my very core,
“I love me, but I now love you more.”

Cherry Blossoms In His Heart
[100 words; Any demon LIxOC]

Cherry blossoms often signify a time of renewal, the coming of spring. Locals and foreign visitors always look forward to seeing their splendor during flower-viewing.However, these also represent a wistful fleeting beauty, as they only bloom for a short period of time.As a human, your life is but something that passes by quickly for demons. So like cherry blossoms, he made sure not to miss it and held onto you as tightly as he could, cherishing each moment with you. When you left, he swore that you are the only flower that will ever bloom in his heart.

Solomon's Assistant
[295 words; SolomonxOC]

You have been having a hard time going to sleep, and you were also missing home so badly; but it was good since you kept yourself busy. You were happy to do little errands for him: borrowing a spell book from the Royal Library, buying potion ingredients from Hocus Pocus, as well as purchasing an item from Majolish that you assumed was for Asmo.By the time you arrived in Purgatory Hall, you were already dead tired and wanted to rest. But when you saw his inviting smile, you couldn’t help but feel a little revitalized. You entered his room, confused as to why he asked you to come in when he normally just thanks you for your assistance. His playful voice were soothing to your ears, “A little reward for my lovely and hardworking assistant.”On his table, the ingredients were mixed in a small cauldron. There was a small puff of purple smoke, and the only thing left was a blue powdery substance which he gingerly stored and set aside. He then opened the book and knowingly turned it to a specific page. The mirror you thought was for Asmo was held in his hands, he grabbed a handful of the sparkling powder, blew it against the mirror, and uttered a spell; his reflection swirled into another image—familiar faces can be seen.Your heart welled up in happiness as you realized his intentions. Tears were forming and they flooded down your face uncontrollably. With a warm smile, he walked over to you and pulled you close, with his hands slightly trembling as if holding something fragile and precious. He rested his chin on your head, “Please don’t cry, I only want you to be happy—after all, you’re my dearest and most capable assistant.”[ Originally written for a previous member of r/obeyme on Discord ]

Leviathan's Envy
[331 words; LeviathanxOC]

He saw her and before he knew it, a brilliant and innocent smile threw daggers upon his chest. She was happy with him.He never pondered about these stirrings in his heart, it was of no importance for their race as their happiness lay in service to their Creator. He knew he didn't want her the way she wanted that human, yet, being exposed to this novel feeling in its rawest form made him finally realise that there was an inescapable emptiness inside him.A drop of envy enveloped his soul. It was tens, then hundreds, and finally some thousands of years before he noticed that he was already drowning in a sea of insecurity; a raging sea of jealousy and fear. After the descent, he and his brothers banded together in refuge. Even though they had each other, no matter the comfort or no matter what words were said, nothing was ever the same. His wings wilted as his soul languished, his halo blackened into thorny spikes, and his skin moulted into repulsive scales — some of which protruded into an unsightly tail.He lost his confidence, he lost his home, and he lost her.Muddled with despair, he tried everything to fill the void within him. He learned to feign happiness and briefly chased after ivory towers as they provided him a momentary breath of euphoria and an escape from reality. With every murmur and whisper on his ears from the other side, his lips carried enticing words that compelled them to be like him - drowning in self-loathing and resentment against the world. He became the very thing he used to flawlessly destroy. There was no redemption to a demon like him. No matter what he did, he felt trapped in the unending loop of pain and suffering. He thought that he only survived the fall to relish in his deserved punishment. He truly believed that her happiness was something that he will never know.Until he met you.[Leviathan chapter on my fanfic that can be read on Wattpad: https://www.wattpad.com/837929068-an-obey-me-fanfiction-sins-of-the-seven-demons]

Lucifer's Pride
[557 words; LuciferxOC]
Content Warning: Blood, mention of violence

The star of the early morn, shining brighter than any other. He was the favorite of the Creator amongst hundreds of thousands as he danced with Fate amongst pools in the heavens. He was deeply revered for the love he had for those he considered one of his own and admired for the steadfastness he bore for his duties. However, it was the same love that drove him against what he was created for and pushed him away from his supposed cause. Finding the red strings cut and knowing the looming punishment of their own who dreamt of freedom in love, he gave in to the sin of pride. He chose to prioritize the one born under similar stars, sparkling with the purity of Celestial Lilies. However, it was the same flower that received the unyielding flames that led her to her fall. One by one, those from his side continued to pummel down the clouds stained with angelic blood. Each slash he made to fight for a cause only made him bleed more inside until he could no longer feel anything but wrath. With anger still seething within his very being and with the loss of two of his wings, he began to lose ground and found himself drowning in failure for the first time since his creation. Snow white feathers were slowly inked black, tethering him, the once lofty angel adored by all, to the depths of despair reaching the land of the devils. The tears that left his now-crimsoned eyes that learned loss in the war were nothing compared to losing the seventh and the place they could call their home.He callously wiped away the waters by his eyes as he had no time to grieve, as the first-born he had to be the light that guides those who followed him. He was to prove that while it is true that the higher one climbs, the further one will fall, he was a man who can turn that into a splendid success.Over the years as the horns upon his head stood and his demonic nature flourished, he continued to lose himself in his arrogance that masked his pain and grief that he kept to himself. And amidst the endless suffering he endured on his own, he was happy, but never truly so.He only knew happiness and allowed himself to experience it when he saw your comforting gaze as you smiled back at him for the first time.It was only then that he was able to find his new home.

Prince of the Elves of Shadows
[999 words; DiavoloxOC]
Content Warning: Blood, mention of violence

Her footsteps sounded unevenly in the dark forest, a silvery light that hesitantly peeks through the small gaps between the trees and branches above was the only light that guided the running human. Moin’s breathing was fast-paced and did not lose to the speed of her feet that chased after one another. A slither of the moon’s light touched her red locks, making their swaying look like rubies dancing in the forest that was known for its frightful stories. Remains of humans who either wandered and got lost in the sea of greens were found maimed or even decapitated, whether they be the oldest of adults or the youngest of children. The pride of elves that reigned in the lands were the source of the terror that caused the upset between the two races, but more so those of the elves that are enriched by the shadows of the World Tree that sustains the life of the elfkind and the forest creatures. Those elves known for their brutality despite their otherworldly elegance were known as elves of the shadows, and their counterpart who also shared distaste of humans but are less likely to kill them on sight were the elves of light.Despite knowing the dangers, Moin heedlessly continued her quick pace as she ran away from her pursuers. She had already torn away a long part of her dress and discarded some of the heavy jewelry that once adorned her skin so she could be more efficient in reaching a place of safety. Finding a small crevice on a huge boulder that was surrounded by thick shrubs, she took shelter and rested her bones briefly. Moin then began her search for running water that would quench her thirst. The dark river that flowed ceaselessly helped instill calm in her with the soothing sounds it produced. She felt that someone had been staring at her so her head did a brief turn, finding a pair of golden eyes gaze at her from the dark. She pulled out the dagger that was tucked in the sheath by her leg and held it close to her person. It was one of the weapons she felt comfortable using as a means of self-defense since she was lucky enough to be raised by parents who were not the usual sort one would find in the circles of aristocracy that prohibits women from doing anything outside of ‘womanly duties.’ Seeing as the pair of eyes disappeared as quickly as they came, she dismissed it as having imagined it and continued to move along. Living in the forest was not necessarily a dream of hers, but the freedom it offered and the sense of safety from the humans who chased her was tempting. As she carried on she saw an animal with similar golden eyes. It was a huge cat-like beast that looked majestic in the pool of its own blood. It had a nasty cut that could only have been done by the sword of humans, as the elves who dwelt in the forest do not bear ill will against such animals. “Did you get hurt by the human poachers? I’m so sorry you had to experience it… My father and the others were trying to help smoothen things out with the humans and the guardians of the forest so we can also help protect you from those bad humans. Haha. I’m actually also being pursued, but I think I was able to shake them off my trail. Still, we’re not all bad, you know?” She flashed the beast a small helpless smile, fully unconvinced of her own words. She was only able to hold it for a few seconds while struggling to get used to the stench of blood.“You won’t eat me if I try to help you, right?” She was just talking out loud, as if thinking that the beast would understand her. After wiping the wound clean and treating the animal with the herbs nearby, she asked for it to wait as she quickly went back to the river to get water. After treating the beast, she sat beside it and had her back rested against an oak tree as she looked up at the cluster of stars with a serious gaze seen on her features. The massacre that happened in the gathering she was at was still fresh in her mind, the blood that entered her nostrils then was supplemented by the visions of horror as she saw her loved ones get slashed one after the other. Feelings of helplessness and hopelessness swirled inside her like a vortex of despair, and she was so close to giving into it and just allowing the perpetrators to also take her life, but the vision of her father letting out a bloodcurdling scream at her as he pleaded for her to stay alive burned in her memory. She then opened a brooch that bore a photo of her and her parents. “I’ll find a way to gain an audience with His Majesty, but they’ve already tarnished our family’s name… I can’t depend on the family name anymore. Father, mother… the dukedom… It’s all gone.” Tears began streaming down her face and she tried to smile reassuringly at the beast who she imagined had concern in its pair of golden orbs. “I’ll...be fine, don’t worry about me.”Happy that the animal seemed to take a liking to her and decided not to harm her, she was able to fall asleep almost curled up to it and dreamt of the happy childhood she had. When she awoke, she realized that there was moistness on her cheeks and thought she might have cried in her sleep when she saw the smiling face of her family. She also noticed that she was now alone and that the beast had simply left, and Moin was left to think that the token of gratitude it gave was her being left alive. "I wonder if I'll see you again."[An abridged version of a concept fic I wrote for @monnommoin on Twitter]
